Kate and Alicia trace their separate paths into UX and examine why people fall into the UX from other disciplines.

Audience, let’s jam on these ideas:

  • Can UX even be taught formally, or is it a skill-set based primarily on intuition?
  • How can we help young people start thinking about UX?
  • What should a UX curriculum consist of?

Linda Menck, Professional in Residence, Advertising at Marquette University and Adream Blair, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at UWM, will be standing by to reap the benefit of our session.

About the presenters:
Kate Pociask (@kjpociask) is the Art Director at Spreenkler Creative, a design and tech agency. She also mentors and teaches young creatives as they work to gain traction in their skills and professional practice.

Alicia Boknevitz (@MkeNerd) is a User Experience Designer at 7Summits, and co-founder + co-director of @StartupMKE.
